Water pump question

When a water pump is going bad, will it constantly leak coolent ?

If the seals go bad it'll leak out the "weep hole". Little dribbles at first, then it gets worse and worse until it's practially gushing out.

Pumps can go bad internally but never leak, although this is much more rare (fins on the impeller corroded away to nothing). Usually the seals are the first thing to go bad.

had some water dripping from underneath the water pump, turned out not to be antifrez, must have been from air con.
