Where is my heater control valve?

Where is my heater control valve?

I dont see it.. My car has had the core not hooked up and im trying to hook it up once i get a new core installed. Its a 82 T/A..
I am driving cross country and heat might come in handy lol

Are you referring to the heater diverter control valve that is in the engine compartment on some cars. If you have a carburated engine, I don't think you will have one.

Ya that valve.. I do have a carb engine..
Since i dont have one.. what controls flow to the heater core? Does it have constant flow to it?
