Plumbing with no heater return port on new radiator?
I know its been covered before, but I'm not confident in the way I plan to plumb everything, so I figured I'd ask. Right now I've got the heater system plumbed like this:
Top of water pump to side (supply) port of the HCV
HCV to Heater Core
HCV to radiator heater return
I've been reading and it seems like the top port of the water pump is a heater return port (for older chevy vehicles). So, when I put in my new radiator (no heater return), I'm thinking I need to route everything like this:
Top of Intake to side (supply) port of the HCV
HCV to Heater Core
HCV to top of water pump (for bypass)
Does this sounds correct or way off?
Thanks!
