85 Iroc overheating... HELP!!!
Question?! 85 Iroc TPI with overheating problems. Went through 2 gallons of coolant in 3 days. My drivers side floor board is soaked!!! I've been loking in my Haynes manual for a coolant circulation chart and can't find one. Dad thinks it's the heater coil. (not really any good pictures of that either). I've read through previous posts and it looks like it's gonna be a B***H to get at and fix. Any suggestions on fixing this will be a great help!!!! Thanks!!!

Is it possible to re-route the hoses to totally bypass the core without totally screwing things up? I really won't need the heater until roughly February (I live in central Florida).

I would just replace it and do a good job of it the first time around. That way, you'll have the heater when you need it and you won't have to worry about it leaking for a while.
I bought a replacement heater core from AutoZone ($19.99) and it came with a lifetime warranty.

Well, I'm planning to get rid of it in a few months and get a Toyota. (Just kidding about the Toyota part) I am planning to get another Camaro and I have had too many problems with this car as it is. Running too rich, needs a new rear end, new carpeting, a lot of body work....... I just don't have the time to really fix all the stuff correctly..... here's a link to a few pics... (be sure not to fall out of your chair while you're laughing)

You can run your hoses to the water pump, thermostat housing or the intake. I'm sure you can figure it out...One of the hoses goes to the rad and the other goes?
