Plastic pieces next to air dam
Plastic pieces next to air dam
Figured I'de post it here since it most likely has something to do with cooling, but I was wondering what purpose those squareish black plastic peices directly next to the air dam are for? One side bolts almost to the front quarter panel and the other side is attached with an actual air dam bolt. I wish I had a pic to better explain it, but if anyone knows what I am talking about, what purpose do they serve?

I know what you are talking about. Those pieces are all part of the air dam, or so I've been told. The air dam is made up of the center piece (air Dam as you call it, bolts to the underside of the radiator bracket) and the two pieces you are talking about. If they were missing I presume the car would be running hotter.

Just messin with ya
Just to clarify, the pieces I am referring to are horizontal to the ground, not vertical like the air dam. Mine are there, but they don't seem to serve any purpose. You sure they function to help cool the car?
