Heater core tip!

Don't know if anyone has thought of this, but I just got gone taking out my heater core but before I did, I hooked up a shop vac to the hoses that go into the firewall and sucked all of the coolant out of it so when I took it out, I didn't spill a drop inside the car. Just thought I'd share.

thats kinda a good tip but...

the main reason somone would be taking their heater core out is because its leaking onto their floor right? so what would another drip matter lol

That's a good point. How much does the heater core hold anyway? Anyone know? I know that didn't wanna get anymore on any of the wiring that's under there.
