just did a 6 to an 8 swap in my 82 bird........v6 fan shroud doesn't fit with new engine...fan hits.......I know I should go electric but I'm old school......any other shroud fit ,like a caprice ,or am I shuck getting v8 shroud off of a v8 firebird (hard to find ), Is their a difference in a v6 shroud and a v8 shroud , or is it my imagination? thanks for any help

 

there is a difference between a V6 and V8 shroud. the V6 shroud is about 6 feet longer than the 8 shroud, lol. so its not your imagination. you will need a V8 Bird or Camaro shroud, 82-85 for the clutch fan. you may be able to mod another shroud to fit but i doubt it...try lookin on Ebay for one...
