"ram air" vs air dam?

i dont know if it would actually work, but i have considered creating a small "ram air" setup for the underside of the car that would actually force air into the radiator at speeds. it would be more of a scoop that would force air traveling under the car at speed up into the radiator. it would seem that by doing that, you would be able to put more air through the radiator, but would it mess with the low pressure area behind the radiator? and what other problems might arise from doing that? if it could be done, you would really only have to have something hanging down two inches at the maximum instead of the full length of the air dam. not much of an improvement over stock, but its a step in the right direction.
