A/C delete question
I'm in the middle of doing an A/C delete on my 92 Z28 with 305. Do I still need my heater control valve? If not how should I re-route the hoses? Thanks. Scott

No, just doing the AC delete does not require you to get rid of it, but if you want to delete it, you can. Many people, including myself, have done it. If your interested, here's how:
First look at the hoses that go into heater control valve. There are 3 large 5/8" (one may be 3/4", I can't remember) heater hoses and 1 vacuum hose. Cap the vacuum hose with a vacuum cap and go ahead and remove the 3 heater hoses that are attached to the heater valve (have a cup or bucket ready for coolant to spill into. Next, remove the 5/8" heater hose that is attached from the heater valve to the large heater hose on the passenger side framerail, and cap that with a 5/8" heater hose nipple or block-off with a hose clamp (those can be found in the HELP section of any auto parts store). Now all you have to do is connect the two remaining heater hoses with a 5/8" heater hose plastic straight or 90* elbow and hose clamps (also found in HELP section). Now your done. Here are some pictures to help you out. This is not my car, it's Dewey316, but he has some good pictures.
This is a picture of the 2 heater hoses that you have to connect:

And here's a picture of the heater hose that you have to block off:

Hope this helps.
