overheating

I have a 91 camaro z28 l98 automatic. Alright I think i have a problem with my temp gauge. Here is the problem when I start the car an drive the temperature is normal but once I rev it up a little bit the gauge seems to move with rpm's. If I floor it the guage goes to the max temp and as I let off the gas it slowly goes back down. It doesn't overheat just driving normal. I'm lost??? I have no codes and have changed the temp sensor. Thanks in advance for the help.

You already changed the temperature sending unit? Is it properly grounded?
