what thermostat to use
I just ordered the hypertech fan switch that turns the fan on at 200 and off at 185, and wondering which thermostat would be best for that?

My car is a 350 tpi. I went with a moderate priced Prestone Thermistat at the recommended temp 190 ...I thought it was, from memory, which I thought was high, but I've been told due to the electronic control, stick with the spec.
The toughest, and w/o a doubt, painstaking task was removing the intake /inlet pipe under the TPI plenum throttle body! I had just done the transverse 4.5 V8 in my '88 Deville. There's no contest as to what is easiest!
I'm not too happy with the effort involved, yet to do heads and intake...likely it will all come off again. I need gaskets replaced and then who knows what else will show up but I'm taking things one by one thus far
