Performance Air Filters .. What is a good company?
I recently got a 1985 V8 5.0 L Camaro and I am replacing the air filter it has right now and I am gonna put in a new performance air filter. I have come across several companies. One that seemed to catch my eyes was Green Performance Air Filters. Which performance air filters are the best for my car or which company simply is the best choice for performance air filters?

I've heard good things about Accel Kool Blue filters, but you cant go wrong with K&N filters, they didnt get their rep for being great by sucking...
but then I've always used fram filters... (but then I've never ran a performance engine either... I'm in the process of fixing that thogh...)

Maybe most of us at the track are just lucky, I've personally tried K&N from 3" to 6" tall-no gain with any heigth, no air filter at all, and my(and alot of others at the track with the same result) favorite $3 paper filter of the generic variety. Keep in mind I have the base plate sealed to the bottom side of the hood so it draws in only cooler ambient air through the cowl as well as the other guys with the same set-up and aeroscoops.
I have not been able to pick up any mph or et anywhere on the track experimenting with the open/no air cleaner to the many K&N's. I'll stick with the cheapy's LOL

kool blue's im guessing arent going to be so great..have you looked at them? they are literaly like a bed sheet thin..im going to be testing one next week for flow rates..im guessing it will have great flow but as for actual filtration im guessing going to be not so good...
k&n's are a good filter but look at the cost...
ever look into amsoil 2-stage air filters?
