I'm afraid to ask (used R Q)

I've mentioned a few times, I opted for a $70 radiator via eBay to replace the original one...glancing at that, the main grill section seems in really good shape but the end tank is shot. The replacement looks good, but upon removal, the seller says the main tank blades (non techie term...what's the right one??) were bent by accident. Sadly, it covers various areas on the full fan-side face, Some worse then others. I'd prefer to skip trying to rescue all of them before getting it up and running in my car...it's just too much work and I prefer a working car to be honest.
Would this be a sure bet as to cause a problem in having the cooling system work good, and for the temp sensor I mention elsewhere... it is loose and going through- back to front (resembles soldering iron tip and has clear silicone like seal at least on one side, that, again, is loose) Any advice on this problem?
I did need to save the money, but it wasn't all that much from a quote for new.

I got the new estimate before hand, but the damage is done... I hand fixed all bent vents as best I could and installed in the car now... so far no major overheating, but it is still loosing coolent from the block. I opted to save my old radiator to restore...it's in much better shape
