How about a Pontiac Thermostat housing?
I'm looking for a 90 degree thermostat housing for my SBC but can't find one that is not billet and costs an arm and a leg. I noticed that the application for Pontiac looks the same as for the chevys except for the angle. I think that most thermostats are pretty much standard right? How about the bolt pattern? Anybody know for sure?

I went through the same thing you are, trying to find a decent thermostat housing. I also noticed that the housings listed for Pontiacs looked like our stock housings, but I finally just decided to use a "late chevy" style thermostat housing. They're not listed for 75-up, but mine fit just like the stock one and is the correct angle. The only thing is that the driver's side bolt is taller than the stock one, but it doesn't bother me at all. It's Mr. Gasket part number 2661, I got mine for $10 from Jegs, and it uses an o-ring instead of a gasket, which I like:

As far as I know, all thermostats and thermostat housing for a Gen I SBC should bolt on and work correctly, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
