Possible to Add an A/C High Pressure Switch?

Can this be done to a car that didn't previously have the switch? Is it possible to simply replace A/C tubing (and pressure switch) with a piece, say, from a car with dual fans?

After a bit of investigating, it "appears" that evap tubing from a V-6 will work--at any rate, the tubing appears to have the same bends and same length.
