Need some help.
Need some help.
I have a problem here guys. I had my dual fan setup wired together with a fan switch to take care of my heating prob(most thirdgen owners know this by now). The problem is, I noticed today while at lunch, my car was heating up at the stoplights. So after work I brought it home, and sure enough, both fans are shot.
Now the question. Most junkyards around here want a million bucks for the dual fan setup. Does anyone know where to pick this daul fan setup, new or used, at a decent price? Thanks in advance for any help.

, what? No matter what the problem is, you can probably buy new parts (fan blades, fan motors, etc.) for any auto parts store for much cheaper than the price of another dual fan set-up. Senior Member

Maybe its the sensor on the thermostat housing instead that is shot. Try replacing that first or close the loop on the wires and see if the fans come on.

I would check the toggle switch or whatever is supposed to turn the things on first. Usually from what I have seen, is that the switches blow, nothing else. Check that and if you don't have a relay......instal one. If that is not the problem I would double check by touching one wire to the positive side if the battery an ground the otheer and make sure the fan motors are blown. And last, I know that didn't answer your question but here is your answer......get the part number from the dealer and price it throught Gmpartsdirect.com., it should be much cheaper than the dealer.
