stock rad keep a street BBC cool?
question is just that, will the stock rad. keep a street driven BBC cool? relatively mild, probably in the 500hp/500tq range. 165*stat would be used. just throwin' ideas around. car would get driven on weekends and every nice day. i live in GA and temps get 95*+ all the time in summer. would a stock single electric fan be enough?

Aren't you the guy with the aluminum-headed 305?
A BB is definitely a step (or two) up from that.
Anyway, a large capacity IROC radiator with the fan shroud in place seems to work well for BB cars in So Cal. Without the fan shroud, they seem to have problems.

Im currently upgrading to a lincoln mark 8 fan,Be Cool universal 31X19 radiator,160 Tstat, and a proform electric water pump. Other than the proform pump these are the best of the best. Not sure if anyone over here knows about the mark 8 fans. But on some the other boards that are all hot rods and street rods they came highly recommended even over all the aftermarkets. They say that the mark 8 fan flows 5,000+ cfm at 33 amps. Thats a badass fan. Just found one locally for 75 bucks. There is a guy on another board i get on that makes custom radiators for hotrods and drag cars he offered to build a radiator to hold up to anything i could throw at it for 200 shipped. If you are interested i can get you in touch with him?
