Twisted Cooling Fan

I have the stock dual cooling fan setup on my IROC. The 2nd fan (driver side) some how has twisted and now the right edge of it is within milimeters of touching the radiator. Has this happened to anyone else? I doubt the suction force of the fan could do this. I am going to try to take it off this weekend, bend it back, and maybe reinforce it with some metal of some sort. The primary fan is just fine and it runs all the time. This really has me scratching my head.

I have attached a pic to show what the right side of the fan looks like. The other side is over an inch off the radiator.

Mine was like that when I first bought it, but I found that it was the Fan bracket that the fan motor sets in. At the bottom where the brackets mount (2 mounts @ the bottom/one @ the top) the clip was missing. I found one at the junkyard and corrected the problem.

Funny that your driver side fan is not your Primary Fan. On my '92
the driver side fan is the Primary.

Thanks 92. I have my fan wired manually. The previous and original owner have a mechanical relay set for the pass. fan and the driver side one was not even connected. Now the pass side runs with key on and the driver side runs when I flip the small toggle switch inside. I will investigate the brackets further. I am very familiar with them so I am hoping it is something small. When I looked it over earlier this week it looked and felt like everything was in place. I will post my results later this week.

I pulled the cooling fan and bracket off an sure enough the whole bracket is warped. I have tried getting it to go back but I am not having any luck. Guess I need to check around on the boards for someone that has one. If anyone else has any input on this please post. Thanks.
