fan switch on lg4

i have a 87 firebird. i put a 160 thermostat and a hypertech fan switch. the fans still kick on at fac settings. i even replaced the switch again the same thing. i put one on my 93 with no problem. anybody know if it works on carbed cars? the speed shop that sold it to me says the book says so.

i replaced the one on the pass side head in the rear by #8 cyl. that is the one the directions said and it is also the same on that i replaced on the 93 but that one had a terminal block that pluged into the factory harness.

dunno how it works on 4th gens, but i'd imagine it would be the same location. pass side is correct, sooo... maybe your gauge is messed up?
