coolant leak, pics included...

I did a search, but did not find an answer.

My car is leaking coolant and I think it might be the water pump. It appears as though the coolant is leaking from the top of the big hose attached to the lower part of the radiator on the passenger side. I have attached a couple of pics for the pros. Unfortunately, my jack is in storage so I could not get under the car. Thanks for any advice.

If it is the water pump, any advice re: which brand to get?

The pics are too big to attach, so you can check them out here:

It could be the water pump. just check all your hoses to make sure they are snug. Aslo another thing you can do is a pressure test to see where its coming out from.

Thanks, I'll definitely check the hoses one last time. How tough is it to run a pressure test?

not hard at all. you just take your radiator cap off and put on the pressure cap on there and pump air into it. they should have them at the auto stores. good luck bro

Thats coming from your weep hole on the bottom of your water pump. If you replace it PLEASE dont use the "paper" gaskets that come with the autozone pumps. I missed 2 days of work b/c i though that i wasnt putting the pump and gasket on right. I used just some rtv but i dont recommend it.

Thanks. That's what I thought, but it is always nice to have additional confirmation. I am going with a stewart water pump and I'll make sure to avoid the paper gasket.
