Cooling fan motor test-what resistance?

Has anyone checked with an ohm meter what the fan motor should be. Mine is 7.5 ohms which seems low for a fan. I bought a parts car and the fans on it were bad-like open on one and the second was flickering around 2k when you moved the fan around.
I bought this 89 tpi camaro and it had a burned relay socket so I don't want to repeat this if the fans are drawing too much current.

Also before I changed the 2 wire coolant sensor my ECM controlled fan on the drivers side was coming on when you started the car but only sometimes. After reading many posts I tested the old sensor and it was reading the correct resistnace for room temp but I could not get a good connection on it to heat it up and test it. I hope the problem doesn't come back because it would seem to be a bad ECM. Has any one had this problem or had a bad ECM?
