Nice Smokeshow!!!!!
So Im driving home from work so happy and carefree....take a look at the smiling gauges infront of me only to get a dirty look from one. Im past the red line for engine temp. ****. And the second I see that I look infront to see a bunch of smoke coming out from under the hood on the passenger side. When I pulled over i seen this
A little cap (look like a pop bottle cap) on a red coolant line (heater core i think) along the fender on the passenger side. Well It had a hole in it and was shooting a steady stream of coolant towards the firewall. After I called my mom and she brought a bunch of water, it stopped. So I pulled off the small cap (said prestone on it) and seen the hole. So I put 2 quarters in the cap and screwed it back on, filled it with water and it has never been cooled that good for a while!
My question is ....what is this cap and will it hold with my 50 cent fix??
Heres the good part - my car is now worth 50 cents more.

I dont know if your cheap fix will work or not but its a flush kit that was installed in your car thats the problem, I would personally replace the heater hose so its fixed right and it wont give you any more problems. You could also go buy a flush kit from an auto parts store and just use the cap from it on your old one and that would also fix it.
