Overfilling coolant?

So here it goes.

I check the coolant level one day with a hot engine, and the level is below "low". So I go to a gas station and by mistake buy coolant that isnt mixed 50/50 already. I poor it in to bring it about to "full". Needless to say, I realize what I've done when its too late. So I put it "approximatly" (I really didnt pour much coolant in to bring it back to full) a full 12 oz bottle of water. Now, when its hot the level goes I'd say 3-4 inches above "full" - runs much cooler, and I'm wondering if its all eating through my hoses and corroding.

I'm such an fing idiot. Anyone think I should get it flushed? I'm really not sure its bad to be alittle fuller, yet it running cooler doesnt make me feel good.

Thanks.

You'll be fine. The whole system is close to 4 gallons. You're probably 52/48 now. Whose to say it was "exactly" 50/50 beforehand. If it spills out the overflow a little, it will get back down to "full" (take a couple of hard turns, it'll spill out).

Time to sell the car

Hit it with a hose to rinse it off.

Ok cool. I just dont want to corroad the system. People are always telling me if you have too much straight coolant that it'll mess **** up.
