i think i damaged the A/C?

I dont know its proper name but its the A/C blackbox that is on the firewall. I beleive it is where the fan of the A/C is located. Anyways, when i dropped in the LT1 with the shorties on, i must have hit that box. It took off like a square inch of plastic and there is like a screen showing behind the square inch hole.

What would be a good way to fix this? Or do i have to replace the whole thing? Note: it is really close to the headers.

I know you can use MEK to repair minor plastic stuff. Would that be a good idea though being that close to the heat coming off the headers though?

I used flexible bumper repair from Autozone to repair mine when it cracked. If you damaged the top piece then replacing it is simple, the bottom takes a bit longer but its not really hard either.
