Did you use the original relay for the fan, OR did you purchase a new one. If you used the old one, the i would say the relay works as well as the fan. I would look at the fan switch again. Make sure the terminals aren't dirty. next, i would check to see if the computer is turning the fan on. Not sure if controlled by the computer or not. I think it is. Check the wiring as well.

Good luck

So neither the coolant fan switch or the switch inside the car will turn the fan on, correct? First thing I'd suggest is to turn on the AC and then see if the fan comes on. That will help eliminate certain things depending on whether it comes on or not.

The cooling fan on these cars are not controlled by the computer, only the fan switch and AC pressure switch? (it's one of the AC sensors, can't remember which one exactly) will turn the fan on.

you said you replaced the fan switch, but are you sure? I did the same thing then came to find that the switch is in the passenger side head, the one on the driver head runs the gauge, the one in tha intake manifold something else. So the culprit is most likely in the passenger side head, which leads to my question that no one has yet answered. What size switch do our cars run? On line auto shops list two different ones, a 9/16 and a 5/16" one. So best of luck to you.
