heater core leaking , different story

so i havent had heat for like 8 months now. i decided why not fix it before winter comes. I was taking a look at the two hoses that run into the car for the heater core. Both were not even warm. so i decided to take the clamp off and check to see if anti freeze was even flowing through there. As i was taking off the clamp i heard alot of air . but i ws not able to pull off the hose. My cousin tells me hey whats that . I see antifreeze dripping on my carpet. okay so my heater core is messed up. But was it the air bubble that was stoppping the heater core from leaking?> i wish i would of known this a few months back.

Those hoses should have been warm, and coolant should have leaked outta those hoses. You might as well just replace the heater core since its leaking anyways, and see if that fixes your problem. Was the car overheating at all?"
