replaced alot of things, why still no heat
okay so i have replaced my, thermostat, Heater core, water pump, radiator , new hoses. And i do not have any heat. Last time i went to a shop they eliminated the valve but even then i did not get heat. So they put it back on. The heater core gets warm but the air does not come out hot at all. I need help guys these new york city winters are not fun. I cannot go another winter without heat.

Sounds like the door in the heater box isnt moving to allow the air to go across the heater core. im not sure how to check this but thats thats at least what i think your problem is.

Well, if your engine gets hot, the temp guage says your temp is normal, AND you have ait flowing over the heater core and its not getting hot, you've got a problem. I know you said you checked the valve, but I'm not sure if we have more than one. Anyway, I dunno what its called exactly, but I think it would be the same or similar on your v6. Mine has an unusual, valve near the passenger side valve cover. It has a number of hoses, heater hoses and vacuum hoses coming out of it. When my heat wouldn't come on, everything was still connected properly, but no heat. I found that this valve was broken. Replacing it and touching nothing else got the water flowing through the heater core. If you say your valve is good, maybe you should check the vacuum hose/hoses coming to/from the valve and make sure they actually HAVE vacuum. To the best of my knowledge, if there is no vacuum to the valve or the valve is defective in some way, it can't switch the directing of the water through the heater core and this will cause the air, but no heat problem. It may be stuck or only partially able to open causing a tiny amount of water to go through causing little heat from the core. If its the same as mine, at least in principle... Mine cost 16 bucks at the store. Unless yours is brand spanking new, you might consider replacing it if the vacuum lines are good and its getting vacuum.
However if you're just not getting air at all from your vents, that's another problem. Most likely with the vacuum lines controling the "air doors" that direct air over the heater core. That may involve a bit more getting into/under the dash than normal to find the culprit. Hmm, going over your posts again, it seems this might be your problem.
You are positive the blower fan is good and all speed settings work as well? Also, in my experience, the heater core itself should be a lot better than "warm" if its got roughly 180 degree(on average) water running through it. If you are actually, physically looking at your heater core and not a lot of air is passing over it, your air deflector doors aren't working properly. If you've got loads of air going through and its not getting hot with the car at normal operating temp, then either you've got some kind of blockage blocking some of the water going through the core, your car is running far below normal temps(which I just can't see) or the water isn't being properly diverted to the heater core. Ah, if only I could see what was going on myself, I'd have this sorted out, lol.

Sounds like a vacuum actuator issue somewhere behind the dash. The door over the heater core may have gotten stuck in the closed, or near closed position.

wow you are the man eltesh. You know i did notice that i do not have vacume going to the valve that is on the passenger side .. Thats the only valve we have, and thats the one i was talking about. What i am going to try is plugging it with another free vacume line that i have (dont ask me how i have a free line in my bay but i do) . I just remembered i wasnt getting vacumme in that line that goes to the valve. I'll keep you guys posted im going to try this out tomorrow
btw i had a mechanic run the hoses without that valve and i still was not getting any heat, but this was before i put the new heater core in. i'll still give the vacume line a try tomorrow. MY heater core was very dirty . Black antifreeze poored out of it

so i plugged a free vacumme line into the valve and vuala, still no heat. I think im just going to replace that valve since its not expensive. But why am i not getting any vacume from that line? where does the other end of that line go, i cant trace it, it goes behind the engine and its attatched to a group of wires on a little harness. I pulled the harness out but i still cant see where the other end of that vacume line goes.
