Temp Guage Not Working

Temp Guage Not Working

OK, I replaced the Coolant Temp Sensor, the Temp Sending Unit, the Thermostat and coolant. The fans come on, but the temp guage on the dash still reads 100. When I start the car, it surges all the way up to red then back down to 100. I took it around the block a couple times and let it sit and run and still doesn't go up at all. This is on the TA.

i had the same symptoms with mine. i replaced the guage with an aftermarket one and it showed the car warmed up nicely. even in stop and go traffic mine never seemed to go much above 100-110.

well i have a problem with my gauge as well, but my problem goes further than that i think, it will do a full sweep test...sometimes... and then it will randomly bounce around like a spring in it is broken. Secondly my car seems to run much hotter than my radiator does, and when i am inside the car cruising at low speed i hear a whine noise, that sounds like a turbo, would that be my water pump going out?
