autometer mechanical temp gauge stopped working?

my mechanical autogage temp gauge all of a sudden quit working! What could cause this? how do i fix it? thanks,

well. if it is mechanical, perhaps the tube that goes from the guage to the "sensor" has a hole in it, which will stop it from working. else the sensor gave up... I have never known a way to really fix one of those...
