A/c

Im just about fed up with my a/c system, Last year i had the a/c system retrofited for r-134a Refergant by a shop, and only had a/c for about 1 week (with 100+ degree weather ) then about a few months ago, i replaced that sliver cansiter (Evapuator/dryer?) and compressor, the tube and swaped the retrofited o rings over to the new parts, Found out that a pice of piping (the pipe that runs from the condenser, on low side? the pipe that is almost right on the engine pay metal) was stripped by the last shop that i took it too, replaced it with a j/y peice that was not striped/bent/rusted, changed out the valves, then had the car pressure tested/evacuated/ and charged, then AGAIN it only lasted for about 1 week, and they could not get it below 70 degrees F.
they performed a leak test a few days after, and found a small leak which i fixed (verifyed that it was fixed) I see no dirt around any connections, yet the a/c does not work. Anybody got any ideas where else the leaks could be? (ive checked the compressor connection and all the connections i could see under the hood that deal with the a/c componets, i am at a loss for ideas)
I do have to replace my heater core, but i dont think that refegerant goes through the heatercore.... Im about to chuck the a/c system and do the a/c delete if i cant figure out what the heck is going on, sorry bout the novel, and thanks for your help

Edit: Forgot to add, When the A/C compressor did work it would kick up the RMPS up to around 3k on the tach and hold steady, and not do any of the cycleing stuff, 3k seems a bit high to me? any ideas on that?

There is one componant that is rather hard to check. That is the evaporator. Its right next to the heater core in the pass compartment. If you add dye you should be able to see it in the water that drips out of the ac system.
