why would new radiator heat up faster

Hey guys,

I am having this debate with a friend and it really doesn't make any sense for either of us. He just replaced his old radiator, which could have been clogged or whatever, with a new one, and now his car heats up much faster than it used to.

Does anyone know what would the reason be?

As far as I can tell, if old radiator didn't flow as well, then engine should have been overheating, not take longer to heat up to operating temperature. But he says that since he installed that thing, car hits up 3-4 times faster than it used to.

Air bubble maybe? That will heat them up quick.
