Radiator Width
ok, im doing a V6-V8 swap here in the coming months and im going with a jeg's universal alum. radiator, i just need to know the width of the V8 radiators so i can exhange the one i have for the right one. the one i originally bought i was going to put the radiator in a full size chevy truck (31x19) with the engine i am building but i bought the car and now i have a radiator that i cant use, but can exchange. if you guys can help me out, i would greatly appreciate it and it would save me alot of time. also i know those radiators dont come with a heater hose spout so how would i be able to still hook up the heater hose, get a spout welded on, or is there an alternative option i can look into? Thanks

I don't see why the 31 x 19 wouldn't work? If I recall the stock rad is like 31 x 18.5". You might need to fab up your own mounts, but that's it.
Secondly, the heater hose doesn't go to the radiator. The heater hoses go to the intake manifold and the water pump.
The biggest issue using a universal rad seems to be the rad cap. As the stock rad has it on an angle so it clears the upper rad support. Most universals I've seen have the cap on top, which means you'll need to hack away at the top support a bit.

The heater hose DOES go to the radiator on some models (TPI?). I have the Northern (Summit) 31x19 in my ta, just takes a little work.
