COOLANT warning on electronic dash
OK guys - I'm sure you've had THIS question before!
My car is an '88 GTA with the L98 and digital dash. The car is all original EXCEPT the engine has been replaced with an L98 out of an '86 Corvette (i.e. ally heads and different cam). The rest is all original including the radiator.
I am getting the COOLANT warning message on the digital panel but am at a loss to explain it! The original radiator has the sensor position blocked off, but I can see the wires running along the bottom of the radiator support.
The overflow tank is filled to FULL COLD so it's not that causing a problem.
Any ideas???

If the sensor has been blocked off then the wire is probably cut somewhere and thinking there is not fluid since the sensor isn't attached. You'll probably have to fake out the circuit to think it's attached to the sensor. By this I mean, if the sensor read XX ohms of resistance when fluid is present, then you'd have to get that value resistor and put it from the sensor wire to ground.
