cannot remove overflow tank

I cant get the nut off the stud instead the stud with the nut on it spins. Is there a way to stop the stud so I can take off the nut?

I had the same problem with mine, although I never found a solution. I just left the stupid tank.

Have you checked to see if you can gain access from the back side of the stud to get a wrench on it?

I spent 5 minutes thinking i was lossening that nut / bolt in the fender well, then i was like wtf. i took two pry bars and ripped that coolant tank off!!!! man that thing is on there!! lol

I put on the older smaller coolant tank and it fits great and bolts on alot easier!!
