Replace w/ clutch fan/Flexfan/electric...?

I have to replace the fan on my t/a, both for the reason of a shot thermal clutch and the fact I can't unbolt it for the old water pump.

My question is should I buy a replacement fan/clutch combo (seems to cost about the same as a clutch), a clutchless flexfan, or dig a dual elctrical fan setup out of a truck or something at the local yard?

I know that a thermal clutch delivers 100% cooling when hot, and a flexfan delivers 100% at low rpm. Since I have a decent shape airdam, and heat is a cruising problem, I would think the clutchless flexfan would provide just as good of cooling.

Local shop prices run about $30 for the flexfan, and ~$60 for the clutch fan. I don't know what it'd cost me for a dual electric setup at the junkyard though. What do you guys suggest from your experiences?

Anybody care to weigh in?

I'm half tempted just to find a replacement at a junkyard and be done with it... I know flex fans are known to break at high rpm, but I recall my t/a lost a fan blade (when my mom was driving it to me after passing my driving exam, of all times) and it shredded half the front assembly (thanks to the local ******* mechanic).

Couldn't I pull a dual electric setup (relay/wiring/sensor/fans) from a truck or something? I don't have emissions or a/c, so I imagine I'd have to run both fans through the sensor.

you could search for my post a few months ago, I asked the same thing.
I found that the clutch fan was much more $ then a simple flex fan and spacer, so I went that route. I believe the flex fan would produce more airflow all the time, as it's 100% on...
Someone suggested the electric fans to me (JamesC?) in my thread... it's not too complicated, I just didn't want excess stuff so...

Well... I'll probally be going to the local yard tomorrow to find a few things, so I might as well look for a dual fan setup. Any suggestion what I should pay for one of these?
