was there a fan hub spacer between the pulley face and the fan mounting flange on the 305 cars 82-86 or whatever ?
if so how thick and where can i find one ?
if not then was the distance form the fan mounting flange to the blades different than on other vehicles ?
IE how far into the shroud were the fan blades on these cars ?
getting little technical items ironed out while im hunting for a replacement engine for the car so i can get it going this summer finally
radiator and exhaust is all i have left other than engine
i have everything else ready, th350 in and connected, p/s pump setup ready, set of 4416 heads that i like,
and am buying a brand new Q jet carb and radiator(theres 300 bucks right there hmm)
thanks for anything

I'm guessing by your question the car in question doesn't have a fan clutch(or you don't plan to use one).My '83 has the HD cooling with the fan clutch. On the clutch assembly it's 1-1/2" from the face of the mounting flange to the blade mounting points. This placed the fan blade tips centered in the fan shroud. It sounds like you've made a lot of progress on her.Good luck.
