Transmission: 700r4
overheating 87 Z28
I have a overheating problem. It has never overheated before i stripped off my a/c. so i bought a new 160 degree thermosta and still overheats. would taking off a/c have anything to do with this. It wasnt hooked up before i took it off

When does it overheat? sitting in traffic, riding on the highway, all the time? that information will help to diognose the problem.

I agree knowing when it overheats would help.If she overheats on the highway would lead to checking the under car air dam.What type of cooling fan is on her ie;flex,clutch driven,single electric or dual electric?Were you having cooling problems before you removed the A/C(with dual fans the left-passenger-fan control circuit runs thru the A/C high pressure switch).

Ok it overheats all the time i start the car and 10 minuts later it is a 220 degrees. I have the electric fan that turns on when the car is started. Like i said it juststarted after i took off the a/c
