Griffin 31X19/Flex-a-lite owners come in plz...

I just installed my new dual fans from flexalite (part no. 220) and am wondering if I installed it too high up the rad? There is about 5 or 6 inches showing on the bottom. I see a small difference in cooling but not much. I hung the fans even with the top of the rad. I'm not sure I am pulling enough air from the bottom where the air comes in from the air dam. Any comments?

that should be ok... if you think about it most of the air from the dam is prob entering the bottom of the rad...and less at the top...so now youre pulling air throughout the entire rad surface...just my thoughts...how did you mount your setup?

I used the zip ties that came with it. They seem strong enough. I also zip tied the top of the griffin to the car to stop it from leaning forward as the brackets that came with the fan setup cannot be used. I don't have enough of a lip on the top of the griffin for drilling.

Drove home tonight in the cool air and the car ran hot. Figured out that the fan is too high up on the rad and trying to cool the fluid and the fins at the same time. In fact, the air is so hot that it is blowing thru the fire wall and I can't play my cd's more than 3 songs before it starts acting up because of the heat. Guess I will have to lower the fans.

What a bunch of gibberish..lol that's what happens when your overtired. The fan is covering the top half of the rad and "not" trying to cool fluid. The only difference here is I removed the rad support because it woouldnt work over the fans.
