im new here.

hey guys, im new here and have just recently got into the thrid gen camaro. i have a 1988 Iroc-Z with a 5.7 tpi in it. i seem to be seeing alot of problems in overheating, and ive heard that it can be a big problem with these cars, but exactly how hot is too hot? my car runs between like 180 and 220. it only gets at or above 220 if it sits in traffic for a few minutes, or if im going under 30 mph. could this be too hot? and if so could it possibly be a air dam or fan problem? thanks for the help.

The stock fan doesnt even turn on until 220. Make sure your air dam is intact. 220 is fine for in traffic... as long as it doesnt go much above.
