Hey guys i recently put an LS1 radiator in my car and bought a set of 4th gen fans. What I'm wondering is, what is the difference between the 2? Fans have the same part number so I'm guessing the shroud? One of them has rectangle holes in the top left and bottom right which one is that? That's the only difference i see. So any help is appreciated. Thanks

 

I'm guessing just the cover where the fans bolt to. I'd try to get a LS1 fan setup off of ebay if you can, not sure if LT1 fan setup would work.

Not sure what those retanglur holes are, could you explain those a little more or get a pic?

I have LT1 fans and an Lt1 radiator so maybe I can help a little bit.

 

oh, i know what those rectangle holes are now. I think they are on both LS1 and LT1 but definitely on LT1. What's going on, just want to know if LT1 and LS1 fan setups and interchangable before you buy them? What I would do is go down to the local GM parts dealer and ask them if the part numbers on those parts are the same.

 

well i bought a set of fans but all they could tell me is that they're off of a 4th gen no year. but the radiator is from a 99 ls1 car. Now i just need to get the time to run out to my cousins house and try them and see if they fit. man i need a garage at home....
