re-charge r134 DIY help

I always get fooled by all these "EASY TO USE, DO IT YOURSELF"
labeled product!!!!

sooo here's what i bought.. a tube with readin meter,
to pressure test how much AC refrigiant u have.

I recently retrofitted(at least thats what the shop told me)
and my compressor has a clear label saying 134R.

i bought this can that supposevly will stop leak,
and im willing to add this to my ac.

I know where low pressure tube is,
MY QUESTION GOES:

I took the blue cap off, but my pressure reader tube won't fit into the hole. wtf?
is it only the cap i need off? or do I need the little metal thing off too just not the cap?(if so what tool is recommended?)

another question is that my AC clutch(brand new) stopped engaging
so I believe the system is so empty.
but with that tube not fitting my hole, I just cant freaking add my R134..

when i try to put the tube fitting into the hole,
it blows air out(kinda smells), should i have to wait
until all the air's blown out or something?

ive been reading the sloppy instruction my kit gave me over and over
and it sure sounds like not too hard of a job.. but something isnt right with my procedure.

THANKS IN ADVANCE for help

sounds like your tube used to measure amount of pressure is not the right one or its not working on that particular fitting.

thanks for reply.

I kinda figure out.. i was just using my tool wrong.

i guess that before putting into the hole I had to hold the tip of the tube(tool side) back then fit them in, presto!

now i know i can charge it,
but i think i have a leak in the orifice tube,
so I dont know if I should charge it..

the tube looks like no tools i know will fit to take it off,
so I donno how to take it off, a vice grip maybe?

Ya, it is a quick disconnect fitting, much like an air compressor fitting.

You may need to get a fitting conversion kit. It is a screw on type quick-connect fitting for the low side. The low side is where you fill the system.
