Convert bottom feed to front?

Has anyone done this? I searched but didn't see much relating to this. I've been thinking about closing up the bottom of the nose cavity and using the front holes for cooling. I'm not sure if there's enough open area but it seems like it'd get a better air feed from the front.

My car is an 86 iroc and it's already open behind the fog lights. I'd basically just remove the fogs and close up the bottom.
