one big fan or two small ones

I have the dual electric fans in my car and I have ripped out my A/C so the second fan is useless right now. I have also ripped out the stock computer and harness and replaced it with a FAST ECU and stand alone harness which has a negitive lead wire to activate an electric fan. I am redoing all the wiring in the car and I need to know if I should keep the dual fans or switch over to a larger single electric fan. I only ask because it will be a lot less wiring if all I have to do is wiring for one relay and fan verus two. Plus if I run both fans off the ECU, then they will both turn on at the same time and shut off at the same time. Running two motors will put a little more strain on the charging system also. SO, which is better in my case? Which setup cools better? I do not want to have control over the fans manually. I just want to let the ECU control it. I havent had a problem, overheating with just that one little fan running but I also havent been stuvk in traffic when its 90 out either?

Having two fans will definately help cool the car better. As an example, when the C4 Corvettes came out in '84, they had one large fan, but by '88 or '89 they had two smaller fans which, together pulled more CFM than the single fan, to help cool the engine. If you go the two fan route make sure your battery and charging system is in good shape.

sounds good. I will just wire them up so both comeon at the same time. They will both run off there own relay and wiring but will both be triggered by the ECU.
