Griffin 31x19 Radiator

Hi all. I soon will be replacing the OEM radiator for the Griffin, but had a question for any of you. On the OEM rad, the tranny cooler is built into the radiator. How will I keep the trany cool if I go with the Griffin?
What are you guys using?

when i changed my radiator out i used a remote mount cooler. you can mount the cooler the front side of the rad. or you can do like i did fab some brk's and mount in nose of car. if you have any ? send me a PM.

what size

What size, and brand tranny cooler are you using? I live in Texas and it gets pretty darn hot. I just want to make sure that I can find one that fits and cools properly.

you're better off running a griffin or other aftermarket radiator that has a trans cooler built in AND running a small air cooled one infront.

to get the same cooling power as that tiny loop in the stock radiator, you need a pretty large trans cooler...

btw, i learned the hard way, dont daily drive on a car with nothing more then a B&M supercooler on the front. especially if you have a decent stall.

if you already have an aluminium radiator, use it, no point in upgrading if its working.

If you still want too, get the version with the cooler built in. (a little more $$$) Add an external cooler (like 7x18 or so) nothing huge.

If you want only an external cooler, get the largest you can afford. I have an 8 pass tube-fin setup, works fine until lots of stop and go, then it approaches 200*. My B&M cooler plate type, works about the same.
