Quick Question On Low Temp Fan Switch?

Hey All! Real quick question, with probably an easy answer! I just baught a low temp fan switch for my 87 IROC. Where in the world is it located on the car? I saw a post or the 90-92 saying it was between the last two spark plugs on the passenger side. Is it the same for my year? Also, any tips or tricks to swapping it out? Do I have to drain my coolant?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks!

Jeremy
