I wouldn't put all my money on this, but I had the exact situation. Turned out to be a head gasket. unfortunatly, I figured it out to late and the next time I started it just happened to be the time that water had leaked into a cylinder. now i have bigger problems. like I said, it could or couldn't be, but those are the exact symptoms mine showed before it bit the dust. good luck and I hope it turns out to be somthing less complicated than a head gasket.

This joke might actually turn out to be the truth.
I had the same problem on another car, perfectly cool at idle, heating up on the highway. New pump, new rad, new everything. Turns out, the pump was a piece of crap, had too much gap between the housing and impeller and was cavitating at higher rpm's, not able to keep up with the load on the highway. A new pump solved the problem right away.

So one (or more) of the parts you installed really could be faulty, what do you know?

Lou
