do i need an AT cooler?

in my rx7? pretty much bone stock 350 with a cam, it'll be getting a plate system in a few weeks, i'm using a 700r4 tranny, and the way its set up now its not really getting any air flow to the cooler, and clearance is a bitch, so i really dont see where i could mount it... would it even really be necessary with a car as light as mine (2800lbs) and as low geared as it is (4.10 posi)? seems like i should probably just loop the lines for it, i'm just wondering if there would be any adverse consequences to doing that?

ps. it's a stock convertor but i'd like to go with a 2500 or so stall in the near future

if i were you i wouldn't worry about a trans cooler unless your gonna race it alot. right now if you have the cooler lines going into the radiator that would be sufficient for now...i would put a cooler in it sooner or later just for peace of mind. 99% of trans failures can be traced to over heating you know, especaily 700r's. if you can't mount a cooler in front of the radiator you can buy a cooler that has an electric fan on it and mount it any place you see fit. the fan will keep temps within range easily
