electric fan? Where can i buy one?
Hi people...this weekend, a week after i had my insane-*** exhaust installed, my clutch fan ripped apart while going over 6000rpm, my hood pierced (thank god i hadn't installed my new one yet) both my waterpump and alternator belt ripped and got caught in the fan's base, and my hose was cut clean, no other damage. SO... I am now looking for a good fan, knowing electrical is the best... where can i find one? No place in this city have any.
And, i have no clue how to wire these up honestly, especially considering the car originally had a clutch fan. Not sure if i'll have to buy other parts, like additional fuse boxes or anything. Not sure if this is a good idea but, since i'm the only driver, what if i had a manual switch to control the fan's speed at my taste while monitoring the car's temp?

Unless you have a serious combo that needs additional cooling, I would just grab a stock electric fan from the classifieds and wire it to a fused power source. For the ground, use a fan switch in the head. If you have a low-temp thermostat installed, make sure you buy a fanswitch for the head that corresponds to that stat.

The Lincoln Mark VIII fans are the best out there and, when used with a DC Controller, are even better. I have a Monte Carlo; so, you'll have to find how other Camaro owner have mounted them (mine's just sandwiched between the lower rad. support and a Cutlass top plate.
