GTA push button controller VS

I was wondering if anyone knows off hand if the heating and cooling system is the same as far as the electrical, etc goes for a push button controller compared to a regular controller in an 88 GTA? I have seen push buttons and regular slider type controllers in GTA'S and would appreciate any info, is it just a different controller?
Thanks

I have a push button controller in my GTA, my dad has a regular slider in his GTA.

The push button controller works off electric circuits to control the flaps in the dash to guid air around.

From what ive been told it has it's own wiring harness, and it's own special vaccume system.

This is what I know, please correct me if im wrong.
