to any modifications to air filter system so an 89 firebird can get more air flow from stock box? some type of custom homemade job to get air too the filter faster and easier ?

uhh this is the wrong forum for that, this is the WATER cooling forum, mayb do a search on "cold air intake" in the tech or in the TPI forums.

EDIT:is this for TPI...whats your engine setup right now?

K&N makes a kit for the TPI systems, and for increased throddle response you can always bypass the TB water hoses by running the line directly into the intake manifold.
